Logo Re-design & Business Cards

WebZulu is a Cairns-based web development and digital marketing company founded and operated by Mark Reisinger, backed by a small group of professionals and local business partners for the past 20 years.

Since the early 2000s Mark's business has gone through many changes, and one most recently we got to take part in. Macqueen Media was tasked with designing a new logo for WebZulu as the business looks at expanding into other aspects of web design and development in Cairns.

Reisinger initially wanted a fresh, new, and modern style, look and feel for the new logo. We trialled several designs before coming back to the table and discussing the very reason why he calls himself ‘WebZulu’.
 
 

Zulu is a direct reference to the Zulu warriors in South Africa, and this is something that has been integrated since the business began 20 years ago. Reisinger knows how tough it can be as a small business owner, and so Reisinger fights (like a warrior) for small businesses!

We decided to explore the possibility of having an animal that represents a strong warrior. This animal will then be the mascot for WebZulu going forward, and so a Zebra was chosen.

Several concept design ideas were then thrown around until a final design was chosen.
